This showroom sample of the thermal envelope was created to demonstrate structural glazing technology to clients. The design uses the ALUTECH thermally broken aluminum system and multifunctional mirrored insulated glass units (IGUs).
Purpose
A technology demonstration for rental cabins, sales offices, mobile buildings, and guest houses.
Specifications
- Glazing: structural.
- Profile system: ALUTECH warm aluminum system with a thermal break.
- Insulated glass units: single-chamber, multifunctional.
- Glazing makeup: two tempered glass panes, 10 mm each.
- Total glass thickness in the IGU: 20 mm, excluding the air chamber.
Scope of work and solutions
- Fabrication of the warm envelope for the showcase sample.
- Installation of structural glazing.
- Installation of a warm aluminum swing entrance door.
- Installation of a glazed transom above the door with a motorized opener.
